Concert
Sponsorship

Want to support a section of the orchestra? The stage crew? Or the fireworks at our concert under the stars in July? Ticket sales account for less than 15% of the cost of concert production, so sponsors are needed to ensure concerts continue sustainably. Your donation of $500 or greater is recognized at your selected concert and throughout the following 18 months!

Youth Orchestra Scholarships

The SBSO is thrilled to offer two excellent youth orchestra opportunities for outstanding young musicians. Our San Bernardino Symphony Overture Orchestra is for students in grades 6-9, and our San Bernardino Symphony Youth Orchestra is for more advanced students in grades 9-12. Not all can afford tuition, so scholarships ($200/year for the Overture Orchestra and $400/year for the Youth Orchestra) are always needed.

Grace Baldwin Memorial Scholarship

The Grace Baldwin Memorial Scholarship is annually bestowed to two Youth Orchestra members who demonstrate significant aptitude in subjects related to music and mathematics as demonstrated by Association Board Member and former middle and high school mathematics teacher Grace Baldwin. One member of each Youth Orchestra will receive this meritorious scholarship each year!

Judy Podskalan Memorial Scholarship

The Judy Podskalan Memorial Scholarship is annually bestowed to two Youth Orchestra members who effectively combine exemplary musicianship and volunteerism as demonstrated by Symphony Guild Member Judy Podskalan who focused her volunteer efforts on initiatives that benefitted San Bernardino’s children. One member of each Youth Orchestra will receive this meritorious scholarship each year!

Seats for Service Personnel

The Inland Empire is home to thousands of veterans who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms. With a donation of just $15, you can provide a concert ticket for one of these local heroes. Live music has the power to heal, uplift, and unite — and your gift ensures our veterans feel seen, valued, and appreciated.

Classroom to Concert Hall

Local schools provide excellent music programs, but because of limited familial economics, students rarely have the opportunity to experience live orchestra music performed by professionals. This program brings these young people and their families to Symphony concerts. Every $15 donated covers the cost of one ticket.

Fanfare

Show your love for the Orchestra in the most playful way possible! With Fanfare, you can “adopt” your favorite instrument section and cheer them on throughout the season. For $150, you’ll officially join that section’s Fandom, receive an exclusive Fanfare lanyard to wear proudly at the concert, and help support the musicians who bring the music to life. Not ready to adopt a fandom yet? No problem — you can still contribute any amount on concert day and join in the excitement.
