He has been a high school director in Arizona and California for the past 9 years with a well-rounded background teaching concert ensembles, marching band, choir, orchestra, guitar, and music technology. He is an active musician, playing trumpet, French horn, and euphonium. He has had the honor of conducting the SSFUSD Middle School Honor Band in California in 2020, the North Texas Wind Symphony Collegium in the Summer of 2021. He will have the honor and the privilege to conduct the North Texas Wind Symphony again in June 2023. He hopes to bring his experience as a high school director to continue building the already robust, high, and attainable music standards with the San Bernardino Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble! When he is not teaching, conducting, or playing music, he is “a runner, and a track star,” having run in the 2019 Berkeley Half Marathon and the 2020 Great Aloha Run in Honolulu, Hi. He enjoys eating good food, napping, when the opportunity arises, reading, collecting memes, and spending time with his twin sister and niece, and nephew. His teaching philosophy is to teach you more than music but life skills you can apply to your life.
