SBSOTV Episode 4: A Fiddlers Tale
We present the compositional side of jazz great Wynton Marsalis. Marsalis wrote Fiddler's Tale, a captivating re-telling of the Faust legend, that swings it's way through New Orleans jazz, Dixieland, Blues, Ragtime and the Charleston.
Narrator, actors, dancers, and musicians combine for a thrilling evening of storytelling. Maestro Parnther dons his best Elvis costume (as requested in the musical score by the composer!) as he performs Michael Daugherty’s Dead Elvis for Bassoon and chamber ensemble.
