SBSOTV Episode 5: Strauss, Price, Archuleta
Strauss' vibrant tone poem, Don Juan, requires virtuosity and precision out of every single member of the orchestra. Florence Price shattered glass ceilings when she became the first Black woman to have her symphonic works performed by a major American orchestra. We are elated to present her deeply lyrical Piano Concerto which has recently been restored. Back by popular demand, internationally recognized recording artist, David Archuleta performs holiday favorites and original songs with his trademark warmth, charm, and lyricism.
